A few problems with my C32
Hi, I had a few problems with my car the past two weeks. Looking for advice on what's causing the problems so I can tell the dealer to check something specifically. Here are the problems
1. engine had no power once, it's like the supercharger was not engaged at all.
when i press the throttle fully, the car only goes to 60Km/h maximum. when i put the car in reverse, it will take the car 3 or 4 seconds before it will go backwards.
2. sometimes when i start the car, there is a smell of smoke or something getting burned coming from the air vents.
3. heard squeaking noise when i turn the steering wheel, this only happens after I park the car outside for a while.
Can anybody offer any information on the causes for these problems. My warrenty is up in 3 months. Thanks

i had the beginning of #1, i.e. no power from supercharger. never had any other of your symptoms. in my case, it was the fuel pump. not enough fuel being pumped to balance the air to fuel ratio that a c32 would normally produce under full boost. therefore the ecu cut back the delivery of air so it wouldn't run too lean. dealer replaced fuel pump and car was strong again - hit 293rwhp (corrected, 306 uncorrected) in 80+ degree heat.
#3 i have this, but i'm not sure what this is from. are you running stock suspension? i have H&R coilovers very low and brabus front bumper, so i thought the "clicking" sound (mine's not a squeak) was due to that but not sure if we have the same problem. never found out what it was.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I will tell the dealer to check the fuel pump more carefully then. Regarding problem # 3, yea, my suspension is stock, but it only happens after i park the car outside when it's cold.

You have the infamous hamster stuck in the tailpipe. Verry common with the C32. One of the hamsters that runs the SC got sucked through the exhaust.
Ask the dealer for the new uberhamsters, they work the best.
