My Poor Wheels!!!!!
well, my wife drove my C55 w/ Goodyear F1 GS-D3 during a bad winter storm about 1-1/2 weeks ago in Chicago.
long story short, she got stuck in snow and had to leave car in parking lot of funeral home.
i picked up car next morning and brought her home after sitting in the cold w/ 8 inches of snow.
after snow melted away, i noticed that the polish lip has salt residue on it.
next day, got the car washed and residue is still on lip.
anyone had this experience who lives in wintery weather.
i tried some wheel cleaner for aluminum wheels and no help.
PLEASE HELP w/ any advice. TIA!!!!

Well, as a person who is very experienced with salt on metal finishes (Boats ALWAYS have salt on the brightwork) Wash and polish quickly! Use a stainless steel cleaner and follow it up with a stainless steel polish/wax. 3M works pretty good, Never-Dull also works well, as well as Starbrite products.
I personally like using Never-Dull on light duty stuff, but if its serious you got to use one of the other two. Never-Dull works great on wheels, exhuast tips, whatever is chrome!

Sorry to hear about that. I feel your pain. I curbed the hell out of my rear passenger side wheel this past weekend coming out of a parking garage in a rain storm. So...Anyone (other than jtc55) have C55 wheels they'd like to part with?
