C55 ... white or black?

White car seems to easily draw attentions, unless this is what you wanted.
White benz is more of classy looking and look bigger than dark color.
You dont need a lot of reasons to take a black AMG, but you must love a white car so much in the first place and then, to decide to be a white AMG.

About a year ago, I was looking to purchase a pre-owned white C32. Things didn't work out and good thing it didn't because a year ago I see C32 being sold around $37k-$44k. Now they go for around $26k-$35k.
Within' the next 3 months I'm planning to purchase a new C55. I love white on cars but something is stopping me from getting white and I don't know what the reason is. Black is nice too, but here in New York all you will see is BLACK and SILVER Mercedes. Even myself drive a silver E class and my father driving a black SEL at this moment. I'd like to be unique. Which is why I want to get white, not because I want to draw attention. I even planned to debadge the trunk. Please don't tell me to get red, now that's flashy.

i like lighter color cars because with all cars, there are parts in the car that are already black (for instance the grill and front spoiler) and with a lighter color you will see the contrast. With a dark color car, you won't see the contrast and with a black car, you won't see it at all.

i like black cars b/c they r more stealthy but benzes look very pimp in white.
my cousin had a white clk500 (c clk 209 pic thread) and it completely changed my opinion of white cars.

I totaly disagree a black benz like a c class amg/sport is realy classy and is a real head turner white is considered an awfull colour in the uk and is just left for vans and lorrys, I would definatley have diamond or obsidian metalic black no questions asked second to that it would be silver

SILVER exterior / BLACK Interior with aluminium trims.
Black cars are hard to keep clean and shining. Just little dust makes it look old and not nice.And even the little scratches will be hard to hide. White is a nice color, again not easy to keep it clean. And I dont think any none metalic color look that classy one a MB. I assume we are talking about the metalic paint black. If you want to keep the car in garage and clean it everyday. Then year the metalic paint Black is a good opponent to metalic SILVER. And these 2 silver and black are most selling colors. SO its also good to have a silver or black when you plan to sell it.
Remember all of the AMG cars advertised in Silver exterior /black interior. there should be a reason for this

I see most of you like black more than white, but I'm gonna go with white! After seeing a white C230 SS on the street today, I've made up my mind.
Silver would be my last choice, sorry to say but I think that color is too played out for Mercedes. Yes, I have a garage and I hand wash my 12 year old E class once a week. I believe I would do the same for the C55. Thank you all for your opinions!

May be it is not too appropriate to say a sporty looking cheap White C is classy, my impression was really coming from due to we have very few white Benz in HK and the white ones I usually saw were CL's , even a white CLS55.
So, I feel expensive white benz is very 'classy'
