cars are not even the reason c55 walks away slowly cuz V8 makes diffrient. begining always M3 get c55 behind after couple shifts later c55 shows up. if the dut car was SMG should be easy to own that c55.

Can someone link me to the post on the M3 forum? I would like to read their views on this topic.
AMG VS M Division will never conclude. If they do, there would be no business. Let the fighting continue !!

IGNORANT MORONS... stupid freaking ignorant little kids that think their cars are faster than EVERYTHING.
I am an SMGII M3 owner. I surf the m3forum.net boards... most of the time it's that kind of sh_t that you have wade through in order to read anything intelligent. I'm venting because of the childishness and ignorance I put up with on those boards. For long I have maintained that a C32 stock for stock was faster than an M3. No one would believe me over there. Now the C55 comes out and it's hands down, no question faster than the M3. Same ignorant results.
When will they ever learn? Car for car I would bet on a C32 everytime because most m3 drivers don't even know how to shift. Oh and guess what BMW owners say when you beat them in a straight line? "I'll take him in the twisties" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA pwned!
anyway, i have made respect for C55's and C32's. I wouldn't mind a friendly race here and there. I'm in the LA, So. Cal area. I like Dut's car a lot as I see it quite frequently on m3forums. If any of you are interested in tracking your cars let me know!

Charles,
That's the exact same reason that Dut wanted to do the video. He was telling people over on M3Forum.net that the C55/C32 was faster but they always argued it wasn't. Well now they know.
BTW, did you have a black E39 back in 2001 with an SC'ed M3 motor transplanted and ACS wheels?

uh oh...
you know who I am? that's bad for me... I've been trying to lay low since the whole turbo ordeal![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
After the supercharger dynoed in at 373 at the wheels I shipped the car to Active Autowerke in Florida where I had a T61 custom turbo and built engine put in the car. The car was pushing 470 at the wheels with 18psi. Unfortunately the car is in the shop again as all these things go when making more power than they should be... thus the M3 is my "interim car". Doesn't make nearly as much power but it's fun to drive and respectably fast on the track...
Sorry to thread-jack but if you're ever in the LA area we should definitely meet up.

Nice Videos. The one without the music is great...I always love to hear the engines!
You should try and get an AudiS4 B6 or B7 to join you next time as well as a stock C32. Just curious.

Yes on a roll at high speeds I am able to pull on an E46 M3 slowly but surely but not multiple car lengths on initial throttle like some cats claim they do.I'm also talking about the 6spd manual E46 M3. When I run my C55 W202 against my fully modded cammed E36 3.2l M332i my C55 would pull convincingly on it only when the M332i was reaching toward the top of third gear.It(M332i) would stay with me on a slow roll /punch throttle in first gear and 2nd gear which truly suprised me. Top of my BMW's 3rd gear it would then be all AMG. I've done the same thing to lightly modded (chipped/intake)Audi biturbo S4's.
My E36 M332 :13.6@ 102mph 1/4 mile 2.0 60ft 1st time at track no practice.Next time I will make it run low 13's! Stay tuned
As for my Talon none of my German toys would have a chance. But this is not about my Talon.

c32silverbullet: We didn't know anyone personally with those cars otherwise they would have went along. It would have been nice to see what the C32 and C55 could do side by side.
Charles: It's hard to lay low when you have a bad *** car.
I used to attend most of the meets back then with Shane (black E39), Mark (White E39), and Brad (Shane's brother/white E36 M3 with ACS wheels and Rieger kit). I'm hardly in LA but if there's a big meet I'll probably go next time. Here are some pics of your car at Wheelpower from back in the day. The last one is my car to see if you remember. It has been almost 5 years so I don't expect you to.

AMG 55, a little harsh maybe? then again i think we need more moderators like you over on m3forum... too much trash and not enough guys over the age of 20 on those forums LOL.
As far as coming from M cars... I don't think I could ever get used to the plush and cush lifestyle of the MBs, but I could sure use the straight line speed that comes along with the power! AMG has been blowing the doors off of the M division for the last couple years now and it's not going to change even with the M5's V10 (or the 400hp V8 M3). Chip an AMG E55 and the game is over. AMG power is just unfair. BOOOOO!!! I miss forced induction...
sdsilverm3: those were the days. I miss the days when tuningwerks first started with all the "O.G.'s"
I don't know if we've ever met but your car looks pretty familiar. The guys you mentioned with E39's don't sound familiar though. Unless they hung out around roadfly and dtmpower, I probably wouldn't know them.
Very cool that you have those pictures... it feels like so long ago.

I could possibly get a b5 S4, Audi S8, and a SL600 to join us for some fun. Maybe we should try and setup a track day for SoCal MBWorld members?

Nice Vid
BTW
The though of M cars being the fastest by the M owners is very interesting with the m5 owners.
You guys should see the m5board.com and see some of the posts they have put...
As if the new m5 is the fastest car out there......

no matter what, there will always be someone out there with a faster car. Just let their arrogance serve them later when they brush up on the wrong people, (i.e. thugs with 9sec 1/4 mile hatchback civics). good luck
