We could look at Irwindale, but it is 1/8 mile.
LACR is another option.
Any thoughts?

Let's do the 14th at California Speedway. If you guys are down, please just reply so we can start a list of who we have. Count me in!
Let's open it up to other MB's as well. We should get some E55's &SL's too.
Is there anyway we can pre-register or do a group buy?

Another option might be Las Vegas. I can probably get this track for around 5k. Not to mention I can get everyone like $50 casino hotel room rates.

The only 1/4 that I believe we can rent (that has weekends available and is in LA/OC/SD) is LACR. Everything else is 1/8 mile besides Cali Speedway that isn't available on weekends. Is anyone open to LACR?
I am still going to go to the 14th, anyone else down? Can we get some BMW and Audi's?

I hate to be lame, but I am incredibly swamped at work and really don't have the time to put this together right now. Can anyone else make this happen, call LACR to rent the track? I will show up for sure and I will help where ever I can.

I think the LA guys would be willing to make the trip to LACR. However, San Diego turnout is going to be spotty at best. Vegas would be dope but same thing with attendance there. Only if California Speedway would do weekends. Another option is Friday nights....

remember that not only MB members are going to show up, everybody else and their "mother" will be there on Jan 14th.
We will be lucky if we have 3 runs and we will probably have to wait 1 hour or more per run...
I would be down for a week day afternoon runs.. I can do $100 for my registration.

sdsilverm3: You hit the nail on the head...winter vacation was a great time to try and put something together. Now it is hell...for me.
Cali Speedway does do weekends, they just don't have any openings until November.
Is the 14th is dead??? I will go if we can muster up some people and actually get some Bimmers and Audis as well. I think there are a few M3's, a few S4s, an M5, an E55, an S8 that are interested. We just need to confirm a go or no go.
I will go to LACR if someone puts it together, I will go to Cali Speedway on an afternoon or a Friday night if someone puts it together. I will help where/when I can.
Can anyone pick up the ball?

I am also interested to see if any S or M guys will bring anything out to challenge AMG. DragonAMG is pretty fast. Is there anyone else we can bring that is heavily modified?
Let's kill the 14th, you guys have convinced me not to get up at the butt crack of dawn to wait in line either.

yup.. i rather pay $100 and have a few more runs and not wait so much in line.
I got my pulleys installed, so I really want to see what trap speed and ETA I can do.
stock I should be around 13.4 to 13.6, with the pulleys maybe i'll be 13.2 or 13.3 with the trap speed 1 to 2 miles higher.

I'm probably going to Cali Speedway on the 14th. Hopefully I can get a baseline dyno tomorrow at the shop and get 0-60 times on a timeslip at the dragstrip on Saturday. I want to know what my current engine's HP is at before my car goes "under the knife." Anybody else going? See ya!
PS. I'm also going to the LA Autoshow this weekend because I scored some free passes. Fun

Well 1/4 mile wouldn't be interesting for those cars. The c55 would win, then the M3, and then the S4. Now on a course it would be a lot more interesting. The S4 would probably win cause of the quattro, but it would be pretty interesting between the M3 and c55.
