C32 EvoSport Pulley (Before and after)

I was fortunate enough to buy a set of used pulleys from a fellow member from this board. I paid $980 for them.

I quickly called Mike at EvoSport and scheduled an installation date. 3 hours later, the car was ready to go.

Before getting the pulleys, I really wanted more torque from 2.5k to 4k, where I really feel the 3.2 lacks that punch. Also I was looking to get more top end push (HP) to increase the gap between from your typical IS350, 350z, G35, GS430, M45.

Well I can tell you that the pulleys are money well spent.

I could easily tell that from 2500 to about 3500 rpms, there is more torque than before. I don't how much, but is there. I would estimate around 15 to 20lbsTQ. Reaching 4000 rpms you notice even more torque and the car is now ready to really fly at any moment.

Last night I was driving in "Sport" D-mode and at 80 I was spinning at 3000k. Before, I would have to downshift to really get a nice push and get the rpms to about 4000 in 4th.
Now, riding in 5th with the rpms at 3000 has enough torque that its hard not to hit 90 constantly. If i was to down shift while doing 80, the car easily hits tripple digits, alot faster than before.

For those of you who have the pulley set, know the feeling. Its hard to keep the car under a leash. I can only imagine what the chip will do to even out the torque and provide even more hp.

I was really about to sell the c32 and I even posted my car at this forum's classifieds. Now, I'm going to keep it and work on getting the chip and HR springs.

I'm buying a 2nd property in the next few months and the e55 will have to wait until the Fall 06. For now the C32 has enough to keep my 34 mile commute very interesting.

*I really would recommend the Pulley kit, from EvoSport, RennTech, Kleeman, who ever you decide, it is worth it.

That's good to hear they work and you like them as I am considering a pulley kit also. Perhaps Evosport might have a sale on the C32 pulleys in the future??????

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'd love to get the Evosport stage II set-up, but my warranty is in effect until 2007 so it will have to wait.

The other problem I have is that I trade-up cars every 2-3 years and am afraid that if I spend that kind of money (approx $7k installed), the car will be gone in a year or two.
