C32 Engine Cutting Out at High RPM full throttle
I have had my car into the dealer compaining about the engine cutting out at full throttle at about 5000-5500rpm twice, but it still is doing this. I am taking it into the dealer tomorrow for the transmission issue, this issue and a few others.
The engine/computer seems to shut down, getting a significant hesitation just before shifting into second. The ESP is off, traction is not an issue. I do not have the pulley or the computer upgrade, but I did ask for the 93 octane setting and supposedly I have it, using only 94 octane fuel since day 1.
I do not recall reading of others having this problem. I have basically had virtually all problems noted on this forum, and my car only has 14,000miles. Has anyone else experienced this engine cut out problem? Any advice?

Mine would do that under hard accelleration and I always assumed I was hitting the rev-limiter just before it shifted up. I never really looked at the tach to see if it was happening too prematurely like it sounds like yours is. It only happened on the 1-2 shift and the abrupt hesitation is definately annoying. I never had mine serviced for that as it didn't happen all the time. Mine was a 2002 and when I returned it last month it still only had 23K on the ODO.
