Dang, I always thought Vipers were for old white guys with a little bit of money who want to feel young again. I think you should have taken the break down as a hint and let the dealer buy it back. What's wrong with using the CLS for a few months till the Porsche of your dreams arrives?

 

Its hard to tell, right now I am not thinking of my next MB yet, first I want to get the Viper back and have some fun with it and see where that car leads me as far as the next goes. Don't think that because I don't have my C55 anymore you guys will be seeing me any less! haha. I am still a Mercedes enthusiast and we have plenty more items for Mercedes to come!

Yes, it is kind of sad, i miss the car, but thinking of how much fun the viper is lets it slip by! lol

Honestly i did not consider the new Z06 at all even though it is just an awesome car! It may be a bit faster stock, but it was just to refined for me. The viper is so raw that it is just an amazing driving experience.

I got just about 50k for the C55.

I think your car would have a good chance to sell in dupont registry. Its expensive, but the target audience is much better for your type of car.

Yeah, the Vipers are kind of rare, and i have only seen 1 other yellow one on the road, so they make it even more rare.

I will leave the SN, if i left it with the C55 i might as well leave it now! haha

Nice! i definitely would love to start to go to some of the meets or a cruise. If i cant make the brunch i will definitely do some of the Tower Shop meets or maybe the others at the dealer. I think i saw you on one of the other Viper boards. The GTS is an awesome car btw! talk about a serious car, kind of makes my SRT-10 seem like a caddy! haha

Thanks. Yes i know Ben, he gave me a ride in his Viper a few weeks ago. I think that played a big role in me making my choice too! His car is sick! Funny you brought it up since i was just talking to him like 2 days about buying his whole set up from him. The wheels and coilovers. Its about 10 grand but sure would make the car even sicker! I thought Mercedes coilovers were expensive! but the Vipers make them look cheap!

No way! I am extremely happy with my decision! I love the car and will not let one problem make me hate it. I have had my fair share of problems with My C55 and CLS500 both having some serious problems in the first week of ownership and did not make me hate the car. The Porsche is a great car, but certainly not my dream car. After driving a 997S back to back with the viper just makes the 997S feel boring and weak! The whole driving experience of the Viper is incredible and just plain fun! I strongly encourage anyone who has not driven one to drive one, or at least drive in one and you will have a hard time wiping that grin off your face!

Ann there is a 997 GT3 comming out end of this year from what I have read and heard on the forums, its will not out-do the current GT3 becuase of the motor and rumors of traction control.

The Turbo 997's are pretty far out I think and I have never heard of a 997 GT2 comming to market.

 

A few months ago I was caught eyeballing a Viper in the Dodge store. The owner who is an antique, whispered in my ear "I took it to Willow, it's not a car, it's a disease!"

 

The Porsche dealer here said it was due out by the end of the year... but after doing research on my own, I found out differently. A 997 GT2 is not even scheduled at the present moment. Damn car dealers will tell you anything to get your money!!! That being said, I will probably get a 996 GT2... just gotta wait for the right one to come along.

Yeah, it was just a lot easier to sell with the mods since i already sold the stock wheels and suspension a while ago. Cant wait to mod the viper! :p


btw if the 997 GT3 has traction control that is just STUPID! might as well just get a Carrera S.

Btw, this thing SUCKS on gas. The car was on full when i got it, i drove only like 30 miles and its like on empty! Which is just crazy.

Also the car gets hot as hell inside, i come out everytime sweating my *** off! haha

But the car is just amazing, so fast and LOTS of fun to drive, i'm loving it.

 

Go with the 1200HP kit! Should cool the inside off! :p Btw does that come with air condition in it or is it an option?

Haha! yeah i honestly did not realize i was going to get rid of the C55 so quick. So i already had my eye on the viper, the minute the guy told me he wanted it i put a deposit on the viper! :p The mods for the viper will come, right now its really just a badass car in stock form! but i will get tired of it soon and needs mods to spice things up again! :p
