squeaky seat
This is a truly stupid problem to have. My driver's seat has started squeaking. It squeaks when I hit a bump, it squeaks when I move around, it squeaks when I get in or out. It's driving me effin' nuts. Has anyone else had this problem?

I had exactly what you describe on my 2003 C240 - I know the seats are not the same but the solution I used might be.
The bottom cushion, in each back corner, there are spring mounts isolated with rubber. The rubber plunger or bushing slides through a metal sleeve. You can see this from the back seat while pushing down on the bottom cushion. In my case, that was where the squeak was coming from. I coated the rubber plunger / bushing with talcum powder and problem solved.

Yeah, I have the same stupid problem. It just started getting worse recently. I'm out of manufacturer's warranty, but I have my extended warranty with a $100 deductible for each trip, so I'm waiting until something else goes wrong before I take the car in. I'm gonna take a peek behind that bottom seat cushion and try kjb55's solution to see if that may help the squeaking. It's a pretty annoying problem. At first, I thought the noise just meant I was getting fatter.

just get some Pro-Long and spray it on those springs at the rear of the bottom seat cushion. I have had this problem forever. Never bother to fix it, but fixed the same problem for our company's sponsored C240.

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
I have a rattle coming from bottom of front passenger seat when occupied only. Sounds like it is coming from where the back and bottom meet. I took a look underneath, everything seems tight and clean. I am hoping its those spring looking mounts. Just threw some lube on them. Hope it fixes it.
