02 C32 or 03?

02 C32 or 03?
Hey guys, first post. i am looking at buying a C32 in the next 4 months or so and am looking for some advice. Should I stay away from the 02 model year as it was the first model year? Any known issues? How are these cars as far as maintaining? I know alot about BMW's but not a whole lot about MB's (except i love my father's car 03 CL55)

Before the moderators jump in and give you the STFF babble, you may look at a coiuple of the existing threads using the search feature. There's lot of info that will help your decision.
The '02 & '03 &'04 are virtually identical so how the car was taken care of is probably more important. The '02s & '03s had a frequent radiator problem and some have had transmission issues. Lots of info on both in the forum. Good luck and remember that the hunt is half the fun!

i say 03.
i have an 02 and I had my transmission replaced under warranty. It had the jerking problem.
overall.. C32 amg are known to have problems across the board, just make sure you have warranty and expect to work with your dealer to get those things ironed out.
It took some time, but Im happy with the car. The performance with a pulley kit is really great.
The car after 4 years is very solid and strong.
If you can get an 04, would be even better.
