Need some help on wheels

The boss (my wife!!) has informed me that since I am getting the Quaife Lsd unit, what we can afford for wheels is next to zero!! So, what looks like it might be somewhat good looking and in my price range are the optional 5 hole staggered wheels that are available for the 2006 SL. there are some on eBay with tires for $1699.
I need some input on these as far as what you think about them for looks, and if they would fit. I believe the offsets are OK, and they will replace the tires with 235's in front and 265's for the rear. My main concern is if the wheels will clear the brake calipers. Any constructive input will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Bob

SL on C

I don't believe the SL rims fit on the C. Might want to get confirmation from Luke at Tirerack.

I don't know if its much of an upgrade, or if they will clear the amg brakes.. You don't like your stock amg 18's? Your current wheels are probably lighter. The 40mm offset on the rear is probably not going to work without a spacer. You should definitely check on those.

I picked up SLK55 18" wheels on ebay.. their offset is pretty close to a C32/C55. You will probably pay around 2k minimum for wheels and tires though.. Mine were like new take offs.. I have pics on the sticky pic thread..

Good luck.
