RS4 superior to C55
Sport Auto has finally formally tested the RS4 around Nurburgring. This is the same magazine that tested the E46 M3 (8.22 minutes), C55 (8.22 minutes), SLK55 (8.24 minutes), B6 S4 Avant (8.29 minutes), E60 M5 (8.13 minutes) etc, etc.
The RS4 can complete the Nurburgring in 8.09 minutes. It's the FASTEST 4 door sedan ever tested on the Ring. It's even faster than the M5. That's quite an achievement. Mercedes AMG and BMW M have something to aim for!!

I wonder how the CLK63 will do against it?
Actually ...
Few months back, I made my first step and got myself a E90 330i, 10 years since I owned the E36 325i. Having tasted a new BMW and comparing it side by side with my C55 for two months. After the first month, I thought I would replace my C55 with the M3; after second month, my already fixed bad back problem is coming back because of driving the E90. There is nothing to do with whether the E90 shocks are stiffer than the C55 that sort of issues. Every E90 owner I know more or less complaining either rft are too hard or other issues related to ride quality. All these uncomfort disappears when I shift back to the C55. BMW just fails to make a car which gives a good balance of ride quality and performance. For day to day commuter, I would choose Benz.CLK63 is 481hp , M3 E90 (actually the M3 2-door coupe is named E92) 410hp , quite a big gap. The M-sport package looks quite ugly anyway.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

yea... that does seem fishy, 2dr vs 4dr..... not to mention the slk has a way shorter wheelbase, right?
