I just had the Renntech springs that I bought from FrankW installed on my 03. It cost me 3 hours labor, no parts (250 including tax). Not bad considering what I was quoted from a shop in Tampa (800 total).
No pads were used. At least no new/different ones were used. The drop is absolutely perfect...same gap all around. Looks much better and the handling is noticibly improved as well.

most of my parts i have been lucky... or been patient not to buy at full price.
my wheels with new tires $1k on ebay
my ODPS $900 used
my resonator delete (cousin is the owner of Vally Muffler in El Monte CA)
bi-xenon $1100 and $40 to install by a body shop tech. $50 to program by Steve ML
greenfilters $120 for both (no discount)
springs and installation $500
and now i'm trying to get the chip lower than $990. I don't many choices here, but I'm going to wait until I pay a better price.
it pays to wait for good deals... however I think when I do get my E55, I won't cut corners anymore... too much of an expensive car to mess around with used parts.

I'm waiting on the pulley kit to come by.
