Did anyone update their pre-05 to the new 06-Grille

Hey everyone, I see that MB changed the c class grille on the 06 and up and I was wondering if anyone tried using one of these. I know it needs some modifying to work. If anyone has tried it how hard was it to install?
Thanks Pete

Yes, you can easily install the 2005-2006 C-class grill onto 2001-2004 models. No modifications necesssary for your C32. You can choose from the "elegance grill" which is on the luxury models, or you can choose the "sport grill" which is on the sport sedans.

When I had my 2002 C240, I upgraded to the 2005 grill with no difficulties.

Of course, I presume you know you can't retrofit the C55 grill onto any other W203 C-class.

Anyone have a pic of the 06 c class grill? Does it look similar to the C55 grill? I have the cl style grill, but the C55 grills look pretty sweet..

Like I said before, you cannot fit the C55 grill onto any other W203 C-class. The front end of the C55 is completely different from any other C-class sedan because it has the CLK front end. The grill is much shorter in height and slightly wider than the standard W203 sedan grill. In fact, the grill doesn't even go up with the hood when you open it.

No, there is no difference between the 2005 and 2006 C-class grills. You can easily mount them onto your C32.

I saw one on Ebay it said it would fit all w203's with slight modification, Which I am assuming was maybe just a slight modification to fit the latch.
