SL55 intake question (and generically, do you need an engine cover all the time?)
SubscribeI'm thinking about doing the SL55 intake and my understanding is that it's a direct bolt-on except the engine cover would requires some finesse with a dremel and glue-gun.
Do you need an engine cover anyways? What are it's functions if I were to try and design or buy a replacement?

You'd need dremel and glue-gun only if you plan to use SL55 engine cover, which would go nicely with the SL55 airboxes.
If you plan to keep your C32 engine cover, then you don't need to modify anything. BUT, it wouldn't look as nice because the SL55 airboxes are larger, thus the sides wouldn't align with the C32 engine cover.
