C32 AMG A/C Compressor

I have a question about the Air Conditioner Compressor.

I was told by the MB service department that there is no electric clutch
on the A/C compressor on the C 32 and that the AC compressor is is running whenever the engine is running. If the AC is not being used to cool the interior of the car, the cold air is dumped to the exterior. Supposedly the AC button with the red diode light dumps the cold air when the light is on or if the fan is turned off all the way the cold air is also dumped.

Have you heard about or do you know anything about the above?

I'm not so sure about that.

How do they explain the Economy mode for the A/C?

Also, you should be able to test the theory in two ways...

First, with the engine running and A/C off, see if you can find the outlet for cold air under the car.

Or, again with the engine on and A/C off, open the hood and follow the low-pressure/high-pressure lines that lead into and out of the A/C compressor. One will be cold and sweating and the other will be quite hot all the time.

the other reason that this does not make sense, is why would they put an electric clutch on the supercharger for fuel economy and not on the A/C compressor?

i am going to check this out...

The C32 AMG has a Nippon Denso A/C compressor with electronic clutch pulley.

"The C32 AMG has a Nippon Denso A/C compressor with electronic clutch pulley."

I assume that the above is unlike a conventional AC compressor clutch that
makes an audible click when activated?
