Good-Bye Mercedes

I finally found a buyer for my C32. It's on its way to California. Even after this fiasco:

https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c55-amg-w203/128805-i-am-done-mercedes.html

I decided to give Mercedes one last chance to sell me a daily driver. I wanted to buy an S-class outside of the dealership environment, because frankly I'd drive a Kia before buying a Benz from a local dealer in Phoenix. I contacted MBUSA customer disservice (with my VIN number), and was basically told that it's too bad if I don't like any of the dealers here, that's not their problem.

Thank you for your recent internet query.

As you may be aware, Mercedes-Benz dealers are independently owned and
operated, and as such are responsible for their daily business operations,
promotions, and sales negotiations.

We recommend you contact any authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer of your
choice, to see if your requests can be honored. We appreciate your
understanding our limitation in responding to this question via e-mail.

If we can be of any further assistance, please feel free to call us at
1-800-FOR-MERCedes (1-800-367-6372).

Sincerely,

I'm going to enjoy adding a fourth VW product to my stable.

Why would you contact MBUSA about something like this? I can understand complaining about the bad experience trying to buy the C32, but if you want another dealer to come out to you, then that would be between you and whatever dealer, you want to buy a car from. MBUSA has nothing to do with selling you a car. The only other thing would be if you bought a car off a dealer's web site, but even then it is between you and that dealer to get the car out to you.
