1FASTC32's Cheep Intercooler Pump Replacement
One question for the ppl who has done this install already. There are 2 wires, one in RED and the other in Brown, I connect the *brown* wire to the IC pumps positive side, and the RED on the negative side, is this right ?
I drove the car it drives strong.... but in case i did it wrong any advice would be great ! * my Ford lighting bump came with 2 * white wires... so i'm kind of loss...
Any help or comments would be grt.

the left should be negative and the right side is the positive.
And if still in doubt, unhook the hose that has a arrow towards
it, start the car and you'll see coolant flushing out through
there.
stupid me, i threw away my pump in the garbage right when i got the top swaped* only thing now is i dont hear the pump noise at all. Is there a way to test it ? other then take the hose off again, to see if its pumpin liquid?
On a side note, I picked up the ford motorsport connector. Hopefully this weekend I can clean up the ghetto install
You can buy it from a Ford dealer. I ordered it in the morning and got it the same day. $19. Comes with a plug that clips right in to the pump with two 8" wires coming out of it. Includes some heatable shrink wrap to seal the connection. It will be a much cleaner and more reliable connection.

Jan. 23rd, 07 recall relay replacement was done; since then I have noticed, that sometimes the Supercharger "stuttered" at high RPM (feels like ignition is cutting out). Did not pay too much attention at first. But I just read the posts, describing the IC pump issue. Couldn't hear the pump spinning after turning off the car - started to be concerned.
Ordered the Ford (Bosch) replacement IC pump ($89 + shipping as per above tel. #) and bought the Ford fitting connector "prewired" ($41); special order from the local Ford Dealer (overnight delivery) to make the installation look best and prevent future wire-mixup/reversed voltage (DC) later on.
Now, after I completed the installation, I am reading about the possible Recall having caused the IC pump problem in the first place.... Do I smell a rat?
Anyone here, who had to install the pump again... and again... and again? My assumption is, that if the Relay is the culprit - shouldn't the IC pump fail again? Did anyone read the circuit drawings - please confirm, that the pump is on the same leg; i.e. fused separately? It seems to have some "brains/thermostat-switch" which keeps the IC pump spinning after the engine was turned off. I did not get any error message, when I removed the IC pump power cable... Very POOR DESIGN, having to "listen" to the pump, to confirm it's spinning!!! What a blunder!! AMG, are you listening?
New pump test drive = great performance; for how long?? (in miles please). thanks.
could there be AIR POCKETS during my install? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it is normal, your coolant temp is unrelated to your I/C pump working...

I put together a quick site to help in finding the needed parts for the IC pump replacement.
If someone can send me a link to the adapters needed for the Johnson Pump, I will put that up too.
MB became more cautious with the tune on the later cars and 225 is FAR to high for any sort of power to be made.
Those cut off temps are confirmed by MB literature and many mb tuners.
The 55k cars also shut down at 199 degrees as well.
Either way get the pump fixed or unplug the clutch. High Intake Air Charge temps are bad for the engine.
