Power loss at 118mph
well i was hauling a$$ down a highway, i hit about 118,
and all of the sudden i lost all power, i had it floored and rpm's reved, but wasnt really gaining any speed. i did a search and found that its the I/C pump. i did the whole start your car, stop it and listen for the pump, and i did not hear any humming. is there anything else that would cause this kind of a problem? or is it just the I/C pump. i hit about 120 before and didnt have the problem (about 2 weeks ago)

Welcome to the "Dead I/C Pump Society." The power loss is the S/C overheating from the lack of I/C pump coolant flow.
In warranty: go to dealer
Out of warranty: do Ford Lightning Pump

Same thing happened to me when I got my car back from the dealership to do the relay\ECU recall service. It never happened before so I called my service advisor and he informed me that my secondary air injection pump was dead. I'm taking it back next weekend. I hope that's what's causing the S/C to shut off. The acceleration felt like a C240..... such a shame to get this kind of performance from a C32. Even worse, a magnum SRT8 lined up with me on the highway and I felt like **** cause my S/C shut off at 55MPH when I floored it. The car revving at max but not going anywhere, my first lose ever.

Yeah. my check engine light came on and my diagnostic software says P0410 which is related to the secondary air injection pump.
