tire question
ok so my rear tires finally need to be replaced, they're nearly bald. i'm planning on moving up to 255 in the rear.
my questions are:
1) is 255/35R18 in the rear the right specs for upgrading to a 255?
2) my front tires still have some tread left so is there anything bad about not replacing all 4 tires at once?
3) am i going to have a problem with the speedo and mileage because the fronts will still be at stock 225/40R18? i'm planning on eventually getting 235/40R18 for the front tires.
oh yeah, and i'm going with Toyo Proxes T1-r based on the feedback from you folks v

=== yes. I currentkly have F225/40 7.5 18", R255/35 8.5 18", PS/2
2) my front tires still have some tread left so is there anything bad about not replacing all 4 tires at once?
=== it can be risky if you have all new tires in the rear and if there were uneven wears on left and right in the front tires. ( friend of mine replaced the front with new tires, swapped the old front tires to the rear' ; and later on, he replaced one of his rear tires with an old tire from an outside unknown party. All that happened, the shop said it is ok. Last week, he drove the car just over 90miles/hr. , he found all 4 wheels seem to be broken apart from the car body !!)
3) am i going to have a problem with the speedo and mileage because the fronts will still be at stock 225/40R18? i'm planning on eventually getting 235/40R18 for the front tires.
=== I think better get 235 and 255 all in one time, why waste money.

replacing all 4 tyres is recomended but i didn't ,i have eagle f1's on the rear and michelin pilot sports on the front with no problems ,just looks a little odd with diff tread patterns, so as soon as fronts are ready (won't be long now) i will be fitting some more goodyears .
changing the tyre size will alter your speedo but going from a 245 to a 255 will make very little difference, i did and i haven't had any problems with the speedo and sat nav still works fine

So i can get a really good deal on 4 Michelin PS2s (used) but the tread is still fine. They were off a E-320 but the rears are 275. Will those fit on the back of a C55?? I dont think so but i want to make sure bc its a really good deal...The fronts are 245 i think ill just put those on my rears if the 275 wont fit. What do you guys think?!?!
