anyone know what this is?
can any one tell me what this part is, or what it does??

its making a ticking sound, and if i put my hand on it, it feels like a relay engaging and dis-engaging couple times a second. and you can hear it inside the car.

It is the purge valve. There is a new bracket that you can have the dealer install to stop the sound from coming into the cabin area. Go to this link.
