Estimated 510 bhp right? Not rwhp?

Regardless, very nice.

I did the AWE/GIAC stage III to my 2000 S4, and love it! She just turned 100K miles, and going strong! The torque is great. Now I'm thinking Kleemann for the C55, so it can keep up, LOL! Good luck with the install!

And Great Taste! (are we related?)

Seems like quite a few S4 (B5 and B6) owners on here as well.

The s/c looks great Catapult!

Yes that is bhp and not wheel and of course it is corrected. I don't put too much stock in dyno results. I think they are useful as a tuning reference.

There is a definite difference between the two cars. The C55 pulls hard right from the start with a bump up right at 3k up to red line. The S4, as it is now, basically a stage 1 has that wonderful turbo rush when all hell breaks loose. I guess the lag is the calm before the storm so to speak but it is so much fun when they come on boost. In traffic in the S4 if you are in the wrong gear you can get caught out but never in the C55.

I was really happy with the C55 stock. It was a tough decision to upgrade. I didn't want to mess up a car I really liked. I did that once with a set of springs and shocks on an Audi A4 and it made the car ride like a brick. I can say now the car is better then ever and I have no regrets.

Just wait until you've driven on the stg3 mods....it's addicting.

Let me know if we can help with anything.

Hi Jeremy,
I visited your site and you have all the best vendors. I will definitely keep you in mind if I need something.

The B5 S4 has such charm and is so tuneable. I wish Audi didn't go to V8s. They're nose heavy as it is.

Thanks very much for the kind words RI. We have some more work to do (ie more content, but it's getting there). Let us know if we can help with anything.

I talked to Cory at Kleemann today about the ECU. Apparently Mercedes moved the locations of some of the maps on the newer cars. They think they have it figured out now and may have a new ECU download on Monday.

That's great. Pls keep us posted and maybe post a dyno sheet.

I will keep you updated about the progress with the ECU. I have the initial dyno sheet but I don't have a way to scan it. After I do the ECU upgrade I probably won't get it dyno'ed but will wait and see how it does at the strip.

What do you think of your new S4? I like mine but find bumps send my head towards the headliner which is really disconcerting when pushing on. The image of the car is second to none.
BTW, I also had a C32 (stock) but in between had a used 996TT which was the best car i've ever owned but a little flashy for my taste.
Before buying the S4, did you consider the 03 RS6? I did but decided against it. A decision I now regret. Don't get me wrong, I love my car. That being said, I can't wait for the predicted 550bhp RS6 to come out 2007/8

It will still get spanked by the 600rwhp 300C's and Chargers currently on the streets. You will never win the HP war by continually buying new cars.

Don't have a Mercedes right now...
Some people don't buy more powerfull cars just because they are afraid to get spanked by another car in the street! I believe that most people do it becuase they enjoy the power and in the case of RS6 you could enjoy dring such a powerfull car with a manual trany.

B6/B7 S4s are very nice, but not as mod friendly as the OEM FI'd vehicles; 996TT, RS6, E55, etc.

I do enjoy the OEM Recaro's however.

ECU upgrade

Kleemann worked out the program changes for my car last week and I had them reprogram the ECU. I put it in on Saturday and I have to say the throttle is much more responsive and the car definitely feels faster.

Excellent, glad to hear!! It's always fantastic when a tuner wants to make it right and as it should be.

Want more juice? Try using 101, 104+ octane and you'll feel a little more faster!

My crummy HPS Gen II recorded a high of 386rwp only after extensive ECU programming and a smaller pulley but it did not have any headers, exhaust, cams or LSD. HPS claims that Kleeman's seldom make over 380rwp. I would love to prove them wrong because I was totally fooled by their 414rwp dyno chart of my car that they sent me until I dyno'd it myself.
........I completely agree with you. Good luck trying to get Dyno from another blown 55 engine to compare. I have been asking JAME55 to dyno his beautiful car, but no luck. I am way too curious, I don't know how one can get all this stuff done to their car and never dyno it. Also, I think DragonAMG's dyno had crank HP figures njot RWHP, so it is not as useful.

In due time Ted as my car is still sitting in CO. Had a small problem with one of the vendor i'm using (not kleemann) to finish up the project and it's just now getting resolved. Trust me i'm dying to see myself what the outcome is. I'll try and keep everyone posted. Cory is on vacation and won't be back til next monday.
