Test drove a C55
Just test drove an 06 C55.. Man the sound from the engine was nice.. so was the leather interior.. The power seemed more immediate, but I must admit my C32 seems faster?? I only drove the car for about 10 miles so I really didn't get a chance to play around, but enough time to check out all the shifting modes..
Besides the leather change I actually like my C32's interior more because of the carbon fiber look aluminum trim, console, and the 4 spoke steering wheel, although the shifting on the C55 wheel was pretty dope. I could easily get over all that stuff though.
I think they offered me an amazing deal and I honestly can't believe I walked. The only reason I didn't pull the trigger was because it's red. I didn't think I could do a red car again and my wife would probably kill me cause she hates red cars.
Anyone want to chime in on what they think an 06 with 4800 miles should sell for?

I have to assume the C55 is very very comparable to the departing CLK55. My (now) wife and I raced the C32 vs. the CLK55 and the 55 was definitely quicker by a couple cars.
Hands down the best sound during the race was the V8.

Well... I never got over 90 so my comparison was limited.. I'm sure the V8 would pull away.. but then again I never get to drive much faster than 90 so..
I did love the sound..
If it was black it would be in my driveway right now..

'06 with 5k on the odo should sell for about 50k plus TTL. What were they offering you?
PS - I'm sure the V8 would pull away by atleast a car or two from 30 to 90.

12k off the original price with only 4k miles seemed like a pretty good deal. They probably can't believe I walked on them.. I almost took their brand new pewter C55 which would have been sweet, but the deal wasn't right...

the only thing my C32 needs is low end torque from 1500 to 2500 rpms... around town.
From a stand still or on the high way, the C32 with pulleys is plain quick.
other than that, for the price & mod potential, i would not trade it for a C55.
I like some features of the C55, but not work the extra $15k above a C32. If they were both priced around the same price, I would pick the V8.
