today I disconnected my cluster to install my radar and then plug the cluster back in and my car had 38k now it says 871448 tried to unplug it again and plug it back in, started the car what happened..

Try disconnecting the battery for a little while with the cluster plugged in to see if anything resets? That's a little strange that it didn't keep the milage, I have had digital clusters unplugged in other cars and reinstalled without any issues.
