Loud Whining Noise?
anyone else here have a VERY LOUD whining noise occur when A/C is on in AUTO mode? it does not occur if A/C is on in MANUEL mode. if so, what was the fix? i'm taking my car in on thursday and just wanted any advice prior to taking it in. TIA.

I do not think their is a fix. My does the same thing, and numberous others on here have also talked about it. Sounds like a torando siren. Us northerns only here it two months a year. Those southern guys are probably deaf to it by now.

I haven't heard of any other C-class owners complaining of their fans so I'm thinking it is only on the C55.

VERY loud fans
dont worry mate - both my AMG's are ridiculously loud for the A\C. I have been right out teh back of teh house with the car on teh front drive and I can still hear them!! I took my C36 in last year cause I thought it was bad - they said its normal!!
