Once you buy the 05 C55 for $40K, pl let me know if you want to sell your C32.

That is a fair price. At wholesale, the 05s have sunk down to 35k-37k with less than 15K miles.

$40K is a fair price... but depends on the car's condition. When I was searching for good deals on C55 about 9 months ago, I found loaded one for $42K (private owner) with "only" 5K miles... but the condition was not good enough for a less-than-1-year-old car (swirl marks, some curb rashes on the wheels, uneven tire treads, rock chips, scrapes at front spoilers, etc.). I could see that the owner didn't put a lot of care to the car.... (he was rich... got an SL & Ferrari... may be that's why).

Anyway, don't mean to be a hater... but I feel the same as jgsx.... you said you had to work your a$$ to get and pay for the C32 (which in my opinion, it takes extra effort to get one). And then, in some other threads, you mentioned you were looking for a GT3 (that's like double or triple the cost of C32)... and now, you are looking for a C55??? And till now, I haven't seen any pictures of your C32 and C6Z06.

I'm just hoping I don't give advice or opinions to a poser....

Where did you see the 05 C55's being sold at that price? Do you mean at dealer auctions? Does that mean that I should be able to get one with more miles i.e. 30-40k miles for ~$30k ?

another curiosity is the 4000 miles you put on your car in a month.. You must live in breath in your car..

yes dealer auctions, 15k miles vs. 30K miles is only going to make a few thousand $$$ difference with a late model car, esp. under warranty.

Yeah, that seems just a little low...

I think that 40K-45K is probably more accurate.

elturco, you can't be surprised that people are having trouble believing you. I'm not trying to hate, but your stories just don't add up. You start out by telling us that your brother GAVE you a $65,000++ z06. You decide you want an additional car, so a month ago, you picked up a C32 at an insanely low price from a dealer, but for some reason, that vehicle wasn't in the national inventory even though it was on the lot for ages. Then you said you were barely able to afford the C32, then you suddenly want a GT3. Then someone tried to steal your C32 rims by taking off all the lugs except the locks (wouldn't they notice that there were locks before they unlugged the others?) Then you put 4000 miles on your C32 in a month, and want a C55 all of a sudden. You can easily settle this by taking a pic of your C32, z06 and your pop's benz in the same photo, it is simple enough. You obviously have spare time because (like many of us) you post on this forum frequently.

$49.8K for a brand new C55??? Damn.... '05 / '06 and loaded or not? If '06 and loaded, that was one hell of a deal...

For used cars, I always got at KBB trade-in good value (but always look for a mint used car). Could be just very lucky so far (4 cars)... but I think I could conclude if you don't look serious at buying but do look to have money, the dealer won't let you go... and may be willing to take smaller profit. But be prepared to spend couple hours negotiating. Of course, this may not apply to a hotseller car like Accord and such...

Zoink,

No it was not loaded. But I didn't really care about the lighting and the premium package. Plus, the car was the exact color that I wanted (granite grey/black interior), so I couldn't pass the opportunity. I plan on having Steve install the command anyways some time in the near future.
