Eisenmann Sport or Race

Hi guys

I am trying to decide between the Sport and Race version of the Eisenmann exhaust for my 02 C32. I basically want something that is alittle louder than stock where can hear a noticeable increased/sweet sound at WOT. I dont want it to drone during cruising speeds but a nice aggressive sound when I push the car. I know the Race one is substantially louder, but not sure if the Sport is worth it, if the sound increase is barely noticeable compared to the OEM exhaust (at WOT).

Thanks for any suggestions, opinions, comments.

Just delete the resonator from the stock exhaust. If that still isn't loud enough for you, remove the secondary cats. It's cheaper and looks way better

i have the eisenmann race on c32, and at cold start, it is definitely loud. i have heard it on a c230 and it sounds very different than an eisenmann race on a c32 to me, volume and tone wise. on the c32, from the inside once it is warmed up, you cannot hear it at all when stopped at a stoplight, and you notice it louder than stock only around 2500+ rpm. at WOT it is loud but surprisingly clean-sounding. there is a slight slight drone when you tap the throttle when cruising at 70mph, but it does not bother me because the cabin's sound attenuation is quite good i think. from the outside it is noticable at all times, and is quite loud from the outside...but from the inside, it's not very loud (once warmed up - loud during cold start) unless you are on the throttle.

btw i have just the eisenmann race muffler, but still have stock resonator and 4 cats. i believe that the most efficient way to modify the exhaust is what jgsx said, keep the stock muffler and first remove the resonator to get a little more rumble. if that's not loud enough, remove the secondary rear cats, which will make it louder and perhaps free up a little power, without causing any check-engine light (the o2 sensor is before the rear cats, so it can't tell if the rear cats have been deleted). fyi, the resonator is located behind the rear cats, that is when i looked at the exhaust piping i believe it goes headers>primary cats>o2 sensor>secondary rear cats>resonator>muffler (which is what eisenmann replaces).

i bought from a local vendor, and i paid $1200. i am sure that there are much better deals to be had with board sponsors, since eisenhaus (official US eisenmann distributor) sells it for $1160, or $1210 shipped.

did anyone ever do any sound clips of the exhaust?

Im debating if I should mod the C32 more, or just wait to upgrade cars. An exhaust would be nice
