Xenon fogs are fun!
Please do not flame me for the description below. I was trying to be resourceful, not cheap. I could have easily purchased a "kit" but this was much more fun.
I spent a couple of hours retrofitting D2S bulbs to the stock 9006 bases using a dremel tool, a file set, and some epoxy.
I cut off the male connectors and housing on the end of the 9006 base to build a harness for the stock MB plug, so everything is plug-and-play.
I protected the wiring with heat-shrink and electrical tape and built vented, protective cases for the ballasts using small plastic boxes.
The right ballast is mounted in front of the IC pump on the aluminum bumper brace using plastic ties. The left ballast is mounted next to the windshield washer reservoir also using plastic ties.

If you do not have ballasts and bulbs, try eBay. You can pick up German-made ballasts, for about $80.00 and some D2S bulbs for about $50.00. Your existing 9006 fog light bulbs/bases will play a vital role in building the new kit. You'll also need wire/plastic ties/electrical connectors, a dremel tool, and epoxy.
I'll take some pictures of the install this weekend to give you a better idea of the work involved. The end result is worth it. These things are very bright and very noticeable during the day.
You can always buy a pre-fabricated China kit. I wanted a challenge and also wanted to use the quality products on hand, so this is why I went down the DIY route.
