What I wanna know is, with that line-up, why are you even wondering about a C32? That DTM CLK is one of what, 5 in the US or less?

edit: unless you're not in the US of course - silly self-centered Americans

He has cars that dont exist too! S63 huh....

Maybe he is looking at getting his first AMG and a used 2002 is the only one in his price range.

This clowns full of monkey spunk. No need to respond

EDIT: The clown added a Zonda since the last time i saw a post from him. Hows the zonda doing? Is it a 1:24 scale replica?

I think stage II evosport ODPS, ECU, headers, brings it to 435 bhp, not rwhp. After my stage III (port and polish, cams, headers, exhaust, and odps) I'm hoping for slightly over 400 rwhp, which would be almost 500 at the crank.

Let see if I can shed some light on this:

1. C32s were made from 2002 MY through 2004 MY, they are all pretty much the same as far as power. So the lowest mileage you can afford is the choice to go with.

2. Stock C32s are rated at 349HP, which translates into mid-280s at the wheels. Since cars do vary, some are in low-270s and some were as strong as high-290s.

3. Stage I - which for most tuners is 0.875'' larger crank pulley and ECU software, will put most cars in mid-330s at the wheels. Right about 400 at the engine.

4. Stage II which adds headers and revised software will put most cars at mid-350s. Adding SL55 air boxes and splitter, along with removing secondary cats will put you at mid-360s. This is what I running on my C32 right now. It is about 435HP at the engine.

5. Stage III, which was never released, added even larger crank pulley, revised software, modified surge tanks and larger intercooler pump. We made as much as 422 at the wheels, which translates close to 500HP at the engine. With 24 psi, stock kompressor clutch would not hold consistently, that spelled the end for the bigger pulley.

The bottle neck on this engine are the cylinder heads. Particullarly exhaust port. Once opened up, properly cammed getting to 400 RWHP with Stage II is a possibility.

Do a search under "R&D" in the forum, there is a lot of info going back to 2002.

NICE!! what cams are you going to use? are you porting the heads you have or buying another set to port so your car is still on the road? and if you are i would be interested in buying the unported ones once you are done.

The port and polishing of the cylinder heads and supercharger were already done before I had the C32 engine swapped in. It was done by Josh at the House of Power back in January. He has some mad skills, just look at the intake plenum on the supercharger here. Some in-progress pictures of the port and polish can be seen here in my thread. I dont have any spare C32 cylinder heads lying around, just my old C320 motor, but the cylinder heads might be the same, since they are basically the same M112 motor casting (i think). I'm using Shrick cams right now. Everything else is done except for the exhaust, headers, and ODPS. I'm still looking for a good dampened ODPS.

BTW, I'm with the rest of you guys on this //AMG KING. If I had any of those cars listed in his sig, I could care less about my "old" C32 AMG.

Also, thanks to Vadim for clarifying everything about the C32.

Oh yeah, I do have an extra set of new OEM C32 AMG camshafts.

awwww cut the 12 yr old a break at least he has good taste....i saw a zonda a few weeks ago at ferrari days at LRP....nice. prob was it was parked next to a FXX.

back to topic-
for 10k euros MKBs c32 tuning kit is
1 chip (redline 6400 rpm)
2. pulley
3. metallic cats
4. headers
5. cams, valve springs
6. "optimized" TB

all good for a claimed 425 hp. now add a bigger front mount heat radiator, hi flo pump, sl55 boxes and splitter, very good gas=> prob ~500 bhp.

stock my 2002 c32 did 293rwhp 286rwtrq in 85 degree heat, so c32 is about spot on 350hp or so. i never dynoed with pullies, but with pullies, i would expect 320rwhp or so. with pulley and ecu, air filters, ignition wires and plugs, you will see about 340-350rwhp. add headers, i've heard that a few c32 (basically evo II) with these mods have done just about 380rwhp and comparable torque. about 450hp with a few mods. with some head porting (i hear mckenzie racing is best in the business), 400rwhp seems very realistic.

A 16yr old girl shouldn't be driving a C32 IMO. It's a dangerous recipe for disaster in my opinion. I still think it's stupid to get a C32 for a 16 yr old girl WITH the intention of modding it for MAX HP..........my call is this excuse is

RennTech offers a 3.8 Litre conversion good for 450 hp. Probably alot more costly than the evosport upgrades though...
