So far those are the only two AMG wheels with that offset that I could find. You try and see what you can dig up.

It may be a mis-print, but there is no way in hell AMG would put a 17" wheel on the S55 and CL55. It could be a 17" on the CLK since the CLK is based on the C-Class.

No, the 18" one piece from the SL500 sport has an offset of ET30 front and ET33 rear. I dont think they will fit on a W203 without spacers or modifications on the lugs.

Exclamation Check your tire pressure every other week!

It will save you a lot of money. Your tire will last a bit longer and your rim will less likely to get scratches from curbs. These low profile tire do drop tire pressure fairly quick since they don't have much air in the first place.

For everyday driving, 35 psi front and 36 rear. For sport driving I might bump up the fronts higher still. For drag racing I would lower the rear.

I have heard conflicting numbers - what is the correct tire pressure for the Pilots? Front and Back.

Thanks!

The factory spec is 32psi front and 36psi rear, for both the Michelins and Pirellis.

However, I have raised the front pressure to balance out the car a little. The steering is a little better and it helps with understeer just a smidgen. I think NormC32 runs as high as 40psi front when he goes to the track. I tried 38 psi front on the road once and didn't like the way the steering felt so I put it back. At 32 psi (the factory setting), the tires seem to wear from the edges first.

Hi Guys,

My car came with Pirelli P Zero Rosso Tires and I run 36psi front and 39 PSI rear. I find the ride quality to be acceptable. The stickers on the car (driver's door read:

''Normal Load: Front 32psi Rear 35psi''
''Maximum Load: Front 36psi Rear 39psi''
''Use only Michelin or Pirelli Tires''

My car is a March 2002 Build, Received in April 2002
Canadian Delivery

Regards
Franco

when i was running on the factory recommandation the tires seems to wear more on the side. I then pump it up to 38 front and rear, and they still wear out more on the side. I'm now running 40s both front and rear.

The MAX load on the Pilot says 52lbs.

I would love to hear recommandations, thanks

since i'm asking question, i'll ask another one, but not about tires.

Do you guys know how much is the "V6 kompressor" badge?

I took mine off when i got the car because i was think about putting the AMG badge on the side, but after i found out that the AMG badge will cost 60 dollars each i'm kind of put off. So, i'm wondering how much would the V6 kompressor badge cost me if i want to put it back on.

thanks

Hi Frank,

I am just curious to see if MB have the same recommendations for Canada and the USA. What does your MB Sticker say for recommended tire pressure? It should be visible when you open the driver's side door.

By the way how does your dad like his Jag? I also have a Jag but it's an S-Type. Lease ends January 2003. Find my Jag is much more delicate than my C32.

Regards

the recommanded tire pressure is the same. if i follow MB's recommandations the tires will wear faster on the side, instead of even wear.

my dad love his XJ-12 no manufacturer can top the quality of the wood and leather in the XJ sedan unless it is a Rolls Royce. The only thing my dad is not happy with his car is that the gas pedal being too small. The XJ-12 is not really a daily driver for him anymore since he got the ML430.

my dad was looking to trade in the XJ for the 02 S55 AMG, but there is market value for the Jag at all, so he decide to keep the Jag, and wait for the 494 hps S55 AMG. We are definitely going to get rid of the minivan in the future.

also, when the time comes we'll be trading in our Beetle 1.8T for a convertible or a new Mini Cooper S.
