Quaife Differential - C32

Let's say one were to modify our c32 with a stage 2 power package and we end up with say ~390hp at the rear wheels. Is there even any point in having this upgrade to the car (i.e. stage 2) without an aftermarket limited slip differential, vis a vis effectively transmitting that power to the wheels?
Any thoughts from those of you with stage 2 and no LSD? If you don't have an LSD, do your burn rubber all the time?

I have stage 2, and I never burn rubber. Traction control.
You're not gonna get even close to 390 to the wheels with stage 2
These cars should have came with LSD from the factory

A quaife lsd would be a great mod for any modded c32. The car will definitely acclerate a lot quicker and you'll be getting more power to the ground, who can complain about that. Modding any car isn't cheap....escpecially when you're after quality parts.

Removing the secondary cats don't improve performance like changing the primary cats. The secondary one really just improve sound and taking them off at most adds like 5hp I think. Changing the primary can get you like 25hp.

do you have any data to back up this claim?

I can tell you right now, you will not gain 25hp from removing the primaries.

The Kleeman LSD is like a Phantom Grip LSD. Install is supposed to be easier than a Quaife. I think I still like the Quaife LSD more since it's a 0-100% locking LSD, plus lifetime warranty. Install is supposed to be 8-9 hrs on the Quaife since you have to re-shim. Wasn't there someone in Florida who was talking to Phantom Grip about making an LSD for their C32? If it can be done cheaper, a Phantom Grip type LSD is still better than an open diff.

Quaife vs AMG vs Kleeman vs Brabus LSD
I'm starting to research Limited Slip Differential for my 2003 C32 AMG, and it seems like Quaife ATB Differential is a good choice (happens to be also within my budget). However, something concerns me: how come it is VERY LESS expensive (MUCH CHEAPER) than all the other high performance LSDs listed below? Does that mean it is not as good as the higher priced ones? Can someone please shed some light?
Here are prices without installation for C32
================================
Kleeman LSD 60% Locking Ratio = $2,300.00
*AMG LSD 30% Locking Ratio = $4,000.00
Brabus LSD 40% Locking Ratio = $5,500.00
Quaife ATB LSD 0-100% Locking Ratio = $1,750.00
*The AMG LSD is available as option ONLY in Germany.
Why is the Quaife ATB Differential HALF the price of all the others?
Is it not good enough?
Someone please shed some light on the difference of performance?
If you could afford any of them, which would you choose?
Thanks,
PeteForEver

LSDs are Quaife's bread and butter, but only a small side line for AMG/Brabus; and
AMG/Brabus have a reputation for being expensive, and buys expect to pay a premium.

For all the people that are experts in differentials, if money was NOT an issue, would you choose the Brabus LSD or Kleeman or Quaife ??? The prices are given above. Which technology is better clutch-based LSD or Quaife type? What concerns me is that Quaife seems to offer LSDs for cheaper cars like Hondas and Mitsubishi, etc... while Brabus and Kleeman does only Mercedes.
Which is a better LSD for a C32 ??? Please help...

well, considering Quaife warranties their product no matter what, including racing, then i would say they have a quality product...i have personally seen them on some high-HP cars(700-1300HP) with no issues...
i have only seen one break, ever...

After install, the Quaife ends up being about the same price as the Kleeman because it's a 10 hr job, and labor ain't cheap. Since Quaife warranties their product for lifetime usage, I'd pick up the Quaife. Anybody interested in a Quaife LSD group buy?

Yeah, but evosports price is already pretty cheap IMO. How much cheaper do you think a group buy would make it. Plus, I was planning on ordering this thing from them in about 2 weeks. I'm guessing a group buy even if everyone committed with deposits would take at least 4-6 weeks to pull off probably longer. I don't know if I want to wait that long for something that might happen.
