Weltmeister Performance (DUAL) Exhaust

Has anyone tried this? Looks like a pretty sweet setup. Obviously trimming is needed with the stock bumper, but I'm curious if anyone has tried this. If you've ever trimmed your stock exhaust, how did they do it? Did it still look decent or was it obvious that it was trimmed? I want the dual exhaust and know several others have mentioned this as well. This looks to be the cheapest and easiest way to go.

I would think that for about $800 you could have someone make a custom true dual-exhaust for your car.

True. I wouldn't actually use theirs, just their idea of branching off the first muffler. My exhaust guy could probably fab something up pretty close to that for cheap. I would like to just get another set of dual AMG tips (can get them on ebay). I'm more interested in how someone made it work with the stock bumper and how the fitting of this exhaust worked.

i'm interested in that exhaust system and the bumper trimming. My only issue is sound... I'm really curious what that'd sound like as I want something aggressive, but quiet. If I were to do a custom dual, what muffler do you guys recommend?

I am partial to the Flowmaster 40 or 50 series exhaust. Can't go wrong with Magnaflow either though.

The rear apron is an add on lip for the non amg bumper. So if you like the quad pipe look you need to make a cut on the amg bumper. I am debating myself if should replace mine with the non-amg rears and get those apron and the quad pipe look...too much money for the look and performance gain is holding me back though.

if anyone has vid cam that wants to record the sound of my car and post it up you're more than welcome to. I have the resonator on my car.

jtc320 has the magnaflow custom setup on his car without the resonator.

Seems to me that the other exhaust that comes off the main one seems to be a usless peace of metal that dosent do anything.

Pretty much. Simply looks - no performance gain.

I own a 2004 C32 AMG, and for the last couple of years, I wanted quad-pipe exhaust like the ones on C55 AMG so bad. In my opinion, it made the car look more even from the back. Money was no issue to me, so I started calling EVERY tuning company I know including Brabus, Carlsson, kleeman, many local muffler technicians, and even Mercedes themselves. Here is what they ALL seemed to agree on:

They said the quad-pipe exhausts like the one offered above is designed for the normal C-Class and NOT for the AMG model, example: C32 AMG. They said even though it can be installed on the C32, if done, you WILL lose some horsepower (about 10 hp or so). They told me that the AMG exhaust is tuned to to the max and these exhausts are not may not handle the back pressure and Kompressor abuse. They said that generally they are not as highly tuned as the C32 AMG one.

PLEASE NOTE: this applies ONLY to the C32 exhaust. Even the Mercedes-Dealership told me if I try to install the C55 exhaust (just the right-side), I would still lose a little bit of horsepower. I'm not really too technical and can't provide much detail, but I suggest you talk to more knowledgable muffler technicians about performance LOSS or GAIN just to be safe if you're thinking about installing this on a C32 AMG.

There is ONE company in Germany that does offer an quad-pipe exhaust specifically for the C32 AMG; I can't remember the name, but will look it up. The exhaust will cost you about $2,500 dollars though (no installation). Installation is about $150.00

For all other C-Class, I think you will not lose performance and may even gain2 to 5 horsepower.

That is a silly way to get a dual exhaust. If you're going to branch off the muffler at the back, you might as well just buy a second set of tips and bolt them under the bumper without running the plumbing! If it's all about the looks, then this should suffice!

The C32 has a massive exhaust tube setup that remains dual pretty far back, and then gets collected into a resonator. If you want to open things up, you would extend the dual setup all the way back. But then you're just adding 20+ lbs of steel, with no known performance gain. If you don't care about the performance, then see above -- just tack on more AMG tips!

LOL Actually heard of a guy on here doing that. All I can think of is the cars up north when its cold and you can see the exhaust. Would look pretty funny just puffin on the left.

any exhaust for the w203 are all for cosmetics and for sound. You don't gain or lose HP. If any you can barely notice it. Other than Eisenmann and Supersprint that claims there's a slight HP gains other manufacturer makes no such promise.

let me just say that I wouldn't have bother changing the exhaust if it wasn't for the Carlsson bodykit. Weltmeister supposely it's a German company that produces Porsche oem replacement parts and I've suspect this exhaust is actually the same as the Carlsson quad which is made by Supersprint from the design to the material to the quality of the welds all look identical to the Carlsson quad and only the sound is tuned differently.

we have a mercedes specialist here in the uk that has been selling a 4 pipe exhaust for the c32 for some time now .
I contacted them to make enquiries about this some time ago and they claimed that it actually increases power by approx 5%

I've been considering having this done for some time now, but the cost makes it hard to justify ( seems pretty high for a bit of extra tubing) and after talking to a few people I am not too sure about their claims and if there could be any negatives to doing this
perhaps someone here could shed a bit more light on it.

So then you can buy those pellets that you use on electric train sets to make lifelike smoke!

basically all the tuner muffler out there all have higher flow than necessary that's why the stock setup is already good enough because at most the Brabus, Lorinser, Carlsson is going to produce the same flow just with different sound. the only way you can hurt it is by running 2" piping instead of the 3" you are suppose to run.
