I'll see if it goes away at lunch today. I haven't had the car into the dealer is there a way to check the firmware to see if an update is possible myself just out of curiousity?

Quote: No parktronic here. Tried turning off and on and screwed with it for 30mins and mad as hell then left the car for 2hrs and came back for another try and when I inserted the key it worked again. No known probable cause.
I recalled my W210 had the same audio malfunctioning problem but never needed to fix anything and it was working again.

Ok it's winter here in Colorado but when I take my car into the car wash it fogs up the windshield so I use the defrost with AC on to remove the fog. Well my AC is not working. I'm not sure if miles even matters but I do have like 26k miles and it's on 05 and the AC I'm sure should not be going out. Any other people with AC that is warm and not cold. I'll have to take it in to get it checked but wanted to know if anyone else has AC issues.

I found a compressor leak on my C43 AMG and had the Stealer replace the system pursuant to warranty (compressor, ac drier, expansion valve, etc). Didn't have a problem since. No issues, knock on wood, with the C55 auto climate control.

The tilt down mirror function sometimes forgets to do it's thing all by itself. The auto climate control is completely screwed up. It never blows the same as outside temp without using AC. When using AC it's wayyy too cold. I think both internal and outside sensors are defective. The auto ac is complete garbage, and of course I HATE the knobs instead of digital. I'd love to replace the unit with the 07 digital as pictured on amg's website.

Fog Light Lens Darkening
I had the recall on the command system, but every once in a while the audio goes out. After a restart two hours later, everything works ok!
But has anyone had a "darkening" in the center of the fog light lenses? I have this on both sides, its almost as if the lights are burning the lens from the center, and moving outward. I hope this makes sense, I should take pictures and post them, but anyone else have this problem? I think it should be taken care of under warranty.

I agree. Stale air instead of fresh air from outside the car is annoying as hell.

Seriously! Is this not a huge design flaw or what? Unless I am mistaken upon reading the manual it states that fresh air will not be vented in without the AC on? WTF. What a joke. I almost never use the AC in SD so now I get to have worse gas mileage and lost power -
WEAK!!

So if my AC is out then the defrost will not work properly?

It's been snowing like hell that this car has been a garage queen.

Read Mercdes Enthusiast Feb 2007 subscription and read how happy the C55T owner after he has moved to C55T from a C32. Anyone plans to move to C55 or C55T , or to decide a C32 or C55 should read this article.

Believe me, you are wasting your time.
The main problem of my C55 is that speakers. I been in and out
more than 7 times!!! no kidding...they almost replace every Speaker
that I got, 3 times on the Front-Center woofer and also the amplifer.
Guess what....still the same noise. And the other minor problem
is the Heater control, I won't able to get heat until you turn to
all the red-zone, but dealer told me its normal.
Other than that the car is trouble free.

My dealer had fixed the rattlings from the A-pillar and console twice, ever since no more reoccurence. They also fixed moonroof rattlings but it is still there. I guess they willl do it right the second time. Just make sure they know how unhappy you are if the first-time is not fixed.

I had 3 issues corrected this week:

1. Transmission fluid leak
2. Engine hood pad came loose on one side
3. Experienced a Teleaid "SOS Drive to Workshop Error"

All were fixed under warranty. My new engine hood pad came with a heat shield above the location of the oil dip stick

Are you asking how to show the miles left till empty or the gallons left till empty?

If the miles left till empty, you could scroll to the "mpg" (fuel economy) screen and then roll the submenu...

If the gallons left till empty, you need to have a little mod.

I rarely leave my car close to empty so I rarely use this menu.

But Ling, how sure are you the gallons left is accurate? My E55 has this but I don't think it's accurate. May be it is when there's more than 1/4 tank but how about close to empty?

I once drove my E till the warning light was on... changed my screen to show gallons left. When I did stop and go, the gallons shown would go up and down by ~0.3 gallon. It made me nervous when it ranged from 0.5-0.8 gallon If I drove a bit more, it could've been 0 gallon.... lol. Luckily I found a gas station.
