2002 C32 AMG Tilt Steering Problem
The power tilt steering in my C32 amg stops working but I can still hear the motor running from under the dash (could it be a loose gear?). The telescoping still works fine. The tilt steering was set up on the lowest position which is my preferred setting, the problem is my wife couldn't drive with this setting. My car is out of warranty and I'm wondering if anybody have encountered this problem. Is this a DIY kind of thing? I'm sorry for the long post and I appreciate any feedback from any members regarding my problem.

'02 C32 AMG
I had the exact same problem, steering wheel would not tilt up or down, but motor was audible. Took it into the dealer to have it repaired under warranty. My invoice states this as the correction:
"Replaced coupling between steering column gearing and tilt motor"
The part number for the coupling was listed as this:
203 462 06 78
