Has anyone done the MBCA "Tri-O-Rama"? Looks cool.
I was checking out the MB Club of America web site and came across an event next year called the "Tri-O-Rama." They did not explain it real well, but I gathered from the listing that it is a multi-event semi-competitive event including a drag race, autocross, timed lap and concourse.
This year it is at Virginia International Raceway, which is a course that I know and love.
Has anyone here done this? Some questions:
> It's listed as a 5 day event. Are the driving events spread out? I cannot invest a week on something like this.
> How much track time do you get? It's a 4 hour drive for me, and I would hope to get decent track time.
> Is it family friendly (spouse and young kids)?

Fifth: I have attended numerous Tri-O-Ramas at various locations, 2 at VIR, which is a great track. You have 2 days at the track. In addition to autocross, defensive driving, the track days involve learning the track/practice on the first day, and the second day practice and time trials. You have seen the events scheduled in the article, which also include social events. It is a great time. I may go this year.
