extended warranty

My 2002 c32 starmark warranty is history in two months. 52,000 on the car. Anybody know of a company that will warranty a AMG car? I have tried two companies, and they both refused.

Thanks for any info,

Bob

For two reasons you should consult with your local dealer's tech manager. First, they should know all of the warranty companies. Second, they can tell you which ones that they are willing and happy to deal with. Some dealers and independent shops will simply refuse to deal with a warranty company. Shop carefully because it's not unusual for people to be sorely disappointed by their warranty company.

Let us know who your dealer suggests for extended warranty. I have to get one on my C55 probably by spring, and would like to know what you come up with, and the costs.

c32 extended warranty

I talked to my Mercedes shop foreman and he suggested this warranty company. Call Shaune Allison at 1 800 372 0665 Ext 406 and he will explain the policy. It is the same coverage as the one you got with your new c32. I opted for the 4 year 100,000 mile bumper to bumper with $100 deductible.

Fifth Ring, It is Mercury insurance a top insurance company. The guy that I dealt with is Shaune, and he seemed like a nice guy, so I just gave his extension #.

I just checked on their prices again this AM using a different email account and found no problem. What type of vehicle did you enter? I decided to change from $100 deductible to zero. Only a $200 difference.

You can get the Mercedes warranty:

Formerly, you had to purchase this within one year of intial new vehicle purchase, but can now get it for the duration of the factory warranty period (now, they simply tack on a surcharge after first year, the jerks!):
http://www.mbusa.com/care/warranty/extended-limited.do

Cost for the C32 (and all AMGs, apparently) is:

+24 months/up to 100,000 total vehicle-accrued miles $3,575
+36 months/up to 100,000 total vehicle-accrued miles $4,880
Here are the surcharges they list:

Which would bring your grand total to $5856.

Which, frankly, you'd be unlikely to spend in three years on a C32, unless you drive 40,000 miles a year, like a maniac.

I got one for my CLK55 for far less, right at $2900...this is for four years extra, 100,000 total vehicle miles, zero deductable provided I go to the dealership at which I purchased it; otherwise, there's a $100 deductible.

It is through a company called SecureNet.

For $5,800 I think I'm willing to "roll the dice."

I wonder when a company will offer a monthly service fee. Basically, it would be the equivalent of what it would cost to finance the warranty price for the term of the warranty.

I paid about $2,200 for bumper to bumper and zero deductible. That gave me another 50,000 miles and four years. That is about $45 per month. I can live with it.

I bought my car used and for a very small fee had the extended warranty (Service Shield ) transfered over and man have I got some use out of it so far. The last owner bought the best one available and it have been well worth his money They have covered every part and issue I have had so far and I am sad to say I have had some pricey things happen. Here is the mother company's site. http://www.royaladmin.com/
