I just got my windows tinted today but didn't get the moleskin. My installer didn't want to mess with the door panels. Also, my cousin accidentally rolled the passenger side window down slightly...but thank god the film didn't come off and no scratches...does the film get scratched right away without moleskin? And if I remember correctly MB corrected this issue with 06-up cars...is this true? Thanks for your help.

only gets scratched if there is dirt on the window...

Sorry man.. Your tint will scratch. I haven't heard of anything different on the '06 and up cars.

This really sucks about MB...none of my other cars had any issues.

My brother had the same issue with his 2006 Acura TSX. The tint would get light scratches on it if there is any dirt inside the window.

This is the main reason why I don't want to tint my windows. Also, I like the factory blueish tint so that helps too. Hopefully, you will only see minimal scratches.

I've tinted s2k, a4, g35, fx35, maxima, etc, and never had this problem. I have a friend with tsx w/no problems. Oh well, I'll find out eventually.
