Turn off the esp, have it in S mode, (summer) there is a button on the shift plate that should read S/W, hold the shifter all the way to the left until you see it select 1 in the gauge display.. Now floor it WOT.. and hold on!! LOL (In S mode it will auto shift at the rpm limit)

I just recently started driving in W mode full time.. (Winter) because my tires were getting worked in Summer mode.. I love to spin my tires but sometimes its ridiculous.. lol.. Winter mode starts in 2nd.. trust me though.. my tires still spin through 2nd.. You should hit it a few times to make sure the supercharger engages at 2800 rpms.. You should also try to drive slowly and check for the tranny jerk at about 1500 rpms.. Check all the electronics.. heated seats, if it's an option..

Here are some points to look for:
=====================

1) Test the transmission:
when you drive the car try to do a couple of fast accelerations and maybe a couple of slow ones to try to feel out any jerks or tranny problems.

2) Test Suspension:
Try to find a parking lot that has speed bumps and drive slowly over them listening for any squeaks or unusual sounds the car might make if driven on an un-even surface.

3) Test Electronics:
Test the sound system speakers, power chairs, heated seats, etc... Try to test all possible electronics to make sure they are in good condition.

Also do a search on how to do the radiator glycol test, and other leak tests...

Hope this helps...

...
check out the list of things to look for in the FAQ section of www.c32life.com

it is very informative and will give a fairly comprehensive list of all the things that you need to look out for when buying the car...

If they will let you take it home for a day, come by my office in Rosemont and I can check a few things that are problematic.

What year is it? I couldn't get the link to work.
