Yes, it is possible to get an extended warranty for most any car, regardless of how or who you purchased from. For an AMG the extended warranty is much more than a standard vehicle, but it is also a MUST with this car. No matter the year make or model, any AMG you want to get that extra warranty.
A dealer (or MB) will sell you a warranty but they usually charge considerably more than if you were to do some searching on your own.

No, not at all.
I'm just saying that before you jump into an AMG, be fully prepared for the possible repair costs. Like I said above, you can't consider a $20,000 C32 to be a similar purchase to a $20,000 Ford Taurus. When stuff breaks on the C32 it's going to cost a lot more to fix than on the Taurus. I'd hate to see someone get into one of these cars and then go broke trying to fix it. It was the same issue with my old Audi. It had a twin turbo engine and auto transmission, and if you lost a turbo or a transmission, it was a $6,000 repair bill. That's a lot for a $18,000 car! But if you visit those forums you're starting to see people buy the cars because they are cheap, and then find themselves in a bind when something breaks.
PS: And warranty fraud is not a good idea. What if a "guy" succeeds in breaking your supercharger while under warranty, but MB denies the claim - finds tampering. OOPS!

true...it is a little hard for us because we have had Lexus' all our lived and when i bought a BMW and told my dad about the problems and cost for a single oil change he told me to pitch it....but i want a fast car that is moddable but dont want to worry too much about the problems...
When you say "fast" do you want a car that accelerates quickly, or are you into handling as well?
If all you care about is acceleration, then there are good cars available that are less costly to maintain (Mustangs, GTOs). If you like a car that can handle well, you could also look at the Subaru WRX STi or the VW GTI. The VW 1.8t and 2.0t engines are VERY tunable VERY cheaply. I'm not trying to steer you away from the C32. You just need to know what you're getting into.

I'm very happy with how modable the C32 is. What I especially like is that I can beat on it all day and not worry about the engine or tranny. Just because the supercharger pump might die once or twice over the life of the car doesn't make it unreliable for a modded car in my book.

about the warranty...i think i got that solved i found a place that is called American Mercury...they seem really reliable and just 2500 for full bumper to bumper coverage...good till 100K miles and they said i can mod the car...the parts just wont be covered...only the parts that are on the car from factory will ALL be covered...

Sounds like you've already made up your mind and you're dismissing anything that goes against it. Other than the ignition coils, the newer 1.8t and 2.0t engines are bulletproof. Our 3rd car is an Audi TT and it's got a 225HP 1.8t, and it's easily modified (under $1,000) to over 300HP. The 2.0t is sold in European Audis with over 265HP right out of the box.
Go ahead and get the C55. It seems like you're going to dismiss any advice to the contrary anyway; and in the process, you're advancing theories that devalue one of my major assets.

Get the C55.
All things performance wise being equal, the C55 does have the updated look, which looks really good. Also, financially down the road it'll be cheaper to maintain. Lastly, you'll likely find the C55 is better condition (seats, floor mats, engine, etc.), and also warranty still intact (since it came in 05 - it runs minimum to 09, right?).
The problem with the C55 could be - if you don't mind driving bigger cars - you can probably swing a slightly older and higher mileage E55, which is tempting.

WOW! Horrible timing for me to post the info I guess. I've been with them for a few months now. Have yet to file a claim through them. They better uphold all current contracts at least!

I just think the C55 is worth the investment, if anything because of the interior; I mean, the exterior of a C32 still looks great, even better than some 07 C-Classes, but the interior of a C32, maybe not now, but in 2-3 years may start to look a little outdated (esp. w/o nav). That's why I think the C55 is worth it, but if it's out of the budget, it's out of the budget.
Good luck!
