yah it's pretty common. i wouldn't be surprised if both driver and passenger
seat control modules crap out on you. replace the module and you should be fine.

I just recently dealt with this exact issue. I replaced my battery, but no luck. Since the heater button crapped out on my drivers side seat, I thought that was the culprit, so I unplugged the module on the drivers side. Still kept dying on me. Even though there were no problems with the passeneger side seat, I unplugged it anyway. That fixed it. SO I adjusted the seats where I wanted them, and unplugged both sides (left the airbag wiring connected). Its been weeks now since it has died, and seems to be working fine again.
