C55 speaker question :)

I set my base +2 and I’m using surround mode. When I turn up my volume a bit loud or play a song with good base, I hear rattling sounds coming out from my rear speakers and minor rattling sound from driver side front.
Is this normal or do I have a blown speaker?

Thanks~

It is normal. If you have a good dealer, they will insulate the rear deck. It should eliminate the rattle and improve your bass. There is more info about that on the C-class forum.

For the rattle at the front driver side, its coming from the open trunk buttom (at least it is for me)
I simply folded a small piece of paper and stuck it in the gap between the buttom and the trim, and now the rattle is gone.
The rattle of the rear can be eliminate by the dealer. After that I can play heavy metals or Jazz at +10 without any rattle.

I had the same issues. Dealer fixed it by replacing the rear mount. Too good to be true. The fix lasted a few weeks then the rattles returned. Others have experienced the same thing.

I had a real bad problem with the lid to the first aid kit rattling like crazy. This was with an aftermaket sub installed too though.lol Ended up laying dynamat over everything.
Someone was able to get their dealer to insulate the trunck for them?! Amazing.

There are many people in the C-class forum that have had the dealer insulate the rear deck. I asked my dealer about it. They initially said it was normal (my rattle wasn't that bad), but I asked again and they wanted me to demonstrate the problem to a tech. I wasn't able to make it rattle at the time, but the tech said he would insulate the rear deck anyways.

They didn't have an appointment available for about 10 days, and by then I had already put in an after market sub.
