UK owners specific
Hi everyone, asked this question a while back on the clk55 site and got no response. On the basis that we share the same engine has anyone had a DMS automotive ECU remap done on their car. if yes i would really like some feedback as I have asked them for some references from clk55 owners who they profess to have remapped but they never come back with any names.
Maybe I should be making some assumptions about their lack of response.

Ive done previous bussiness with dms automotive in the past and i can confirm that they are pretty good although a little over priced too.
I cannot comment on the clk side of things nor on my 32 but as stated earlier theyve chipped many of my cars with noticable differences.
They are quite a big company and im sure that if you have any issues they will sort it out promptly, i guess the main reason for them not responding to you via email is that they are very busy.
Best bet is to call them and forward any questions you have directly to them.

DMS have a great reputation, and Autocar magazine rate their work highly.
I know of two MB and one BMW owners who've had DMS upgrades - one a C32 AMG, one a CL65 AMG, and one a 535d - and all seemed pleased with their results.
As Andy points out, they're not the cheapest, but the quality of the work, professionalism, and service seems conducive with a small premium over your average chip tuner.
Fair to say the normally aspirated engines tend to benefit least from chip tuning - compared to supercharged or turbocharged engines - so don't expect explosive results.

My C32 had a remap at DMS carried out for the previous owner. I have only ever experienced the car with the remap, and have only ever driven one standard C32. Sadly, the standard drive was some time before the DMS version, so comparisons are more difficult, but my car is definately quicker. What I can say with confidence is that there are no discernable downsides to the remap. Car is silky smooth at all times. DMS are a large company with a lot of experience and satisfied customers. I would expect them to have done 55's if they say they have. Push them a bit harder for names of willing customers. If they still cannot provide the goods, see if they will give you a money back revert to standard if you are not satisfied.
