Survey: Dealer says "No fault found"

I see this going around me alot these days. Customer has a complaint about the function of their vehicle, dealership connects computer to the car, checks fault codes and when none are stored then they say that there is nothing wrong.

From working on these vehicles I know that many faults can occur without storing a fault code and further checks will find the fault.

How many of you have been told that there is no fault with your vehicle when there are no fault codes stored and the dealership hasn't/won't do any further checks?

There are many VERY skilled technicians at Mercedes dealerships out there, but I personally feel that their reputation is being let down by a few individuals.

Here in the UK this becoming more and more common. The dealers often use this as a last resort to get rid of a customer who keeps coming back with a problem. I am sure they know the car is not right, yet insist to the customer there is nothing for them to fix!!

I took it in last time with no warning lights and they checked my concern and fixed it here in the burbs of Chicago. I didn't feel the SC kick in all the time and they got it fixed.

Maybe I'm just having a rant n rave . I just see and hear it happening to often and wondering what other people have experienced.
