Back speaker removal?

I was wonderring how to get to the back speakers (of a 2002 c32) so I can just unhook the plug that goes to them. I think one of them is going out, and it's making a funky noise, so I wanted to verify what it was before buying a new speaker. So if anyone knows how to get to that, any help would be great (I tried search already)

Are you referring to the rear door speakers or the rear deck subwoofer? I think there is only one speaker in the rear deck that is the Bose subwoofer, but I might be wrong.

Either way, I remember reading a thread in this forum or in the Audio & Electronics forum about the speaker config in our car that might have the info you need.

I bet it's that rear subwoofer, thanks, I'll just take it to an audio shop and make them figure out where the noise is coming from and have them take it off and probably replace it.

In case this funky noise is like a rattle/resonance, try to troubleshoot on your own a bit: stop engine and turn off audio. Inspect for loose stuff causing the rattle by shaking parts in the trunk close to the sub. You can gently thumb the areas around it with your fist to see if you can hear the rattle.
