rides pretty decent..although my car has brand new shocks...u cant tell on good roads..and on rough roads its obviously a little rougher..but i like it...since you have an 02 id jus recc. getting coilovers, tein, KW v1's or bilstein makes them.

If it's $700 in Toronto, then in the US it would be .... $500? Does that buy one coilover!
I think TireRack has a special on coilovers.
Here's my quick review.
Springs:
Positives: Maintain a stock configuration, which preserves resale value, and less chance of annoying side issues like squeaks and rattles. CHEAP compared to coilovers. Wife will be happier.
Negatives: Ride height is a crapshoot. It is what it is.
Options: H&R (OK) and RennTech (Better)
Coilovers:
Positives: Complete control over ride height. With top-end coilovers, you even control shock valving to fine-tune handling.
Negatives: Expensive. A bit more likely to create squeak/rattle issues. Spring rates are a crapshoot -- you might end up with a MUCH firmer ride than you expected. Will reduce trade-in or commercial resale value. Other car freaks might like it, but dealers and CarMax will hurt you.
Options: H&R (OK), Tein (OK), KW V1 (Good), KW V2 (Excellent). KWs can be very firm riding. H&R is softer.
