Engine Cover Part # ?!?!?
Hello fellas
I am looking for the part number of the engine cover of the C32 (Same as the SLK32 right?) so that I can order it through a benz dealer or from somewhere else... The engine cover is the removable cover where the big benz badge is located... Also if you know how much it costs... that would help a lot..
Thanks in advance

and why not? its an Benz///AMG engine it deserves a Benz//AMG badge no? Or should we just leave it as chrysler? or better yet... how about changing it to ford?, the only problem with that would be like chrysler... ford had NOTHING to do with the building of the engine...
Like most people I hate when people place AMG badges on non-amg cars or M badges on non M cars, but why should an AMG engine wear a chrysler engine cover?
I am sorry for my honesty, but I am not ashamed of the AMG engine it coupled with the good looks is the reason I bought the car...
ANYWAYS stop hiding it from me... what is the part #

i think it'd look stupid personally. you don't drive a mercedes- the mercedes model of your car costs about $20k+ more and for good reason.

Which way do you want it? MB or SRT-6? You can be proud of either car.

Mercedes Model costs more solemly for the name and nothing else as it is basically the same car as the R170 SLK32, I guess you are right though to some it is a good reason, but I purchased my car not because I wanted to pay less for the Mercedes Model, but beacuase the design was a lot more appealing to me, but as they say to each their own..
But yea you are right badging a Mercedes Engine with a Chrysler Badge makes a lot more sense and looks a lot less stupid than badging a Mercedes Engine with a Mercedes Badge...
By no means do I have intentions of placing a Mercedes Badge on the front of my car and walk around claiming I drive a "Mercedes", but when I open the hood of my car for regular maitanance or whatever other reason I notice this Big chrysler engine cover and I think to myself why is an MB / / / AMG engine covered by a chrysler badge? That is what I want to replace as it is hard to argue that the dominant part of the internals are taken DIRECTLY from the slk32 counterpart....
If you question my reasoning for doing this I can gladly explain it over and over again, but throwing statemes like "the mercedes model of your car costs about $20k+ more and for good reason." is just pathetic
Anyways if you know the part number or the location of where I can find it... It would be gladly appreciated...

Intent on psuedo mercedes? why? I am just trying to put the right badge where it belongs and not the hood or the rear like many CLS 500 and SL500 "AMG" drivers I see very often who prolly have no more than maybe the rims from AMG,
Well I state that 1 out of 2016 coupes is because I am proud of owning a rather uncommon car and just that if I wanted to state it was Mercedes I would say something like this "1 out of 2016 Mercedes-Benz Crossfire AMGs" in the world, but I did not for obvious morol reasons like the fact that I did not pay for the Mercedes Name thus I should not have it on my car's body, but I did pay for the Mercedes internals and It belongs there... and besides many people would it take it the wrong way...
Part number please

C32 AMG
There is a full blower, engine cover, filters, hoses, etc. from a C32 listed on ebay. Not sure if the part number was listed, but worth taking a look.
Personally, I could care less what anyone does with their car. Sure I laugh at some and question their judgement, but whatever.

I drove to a dealer they told me they need the part number to be able to order which they can search through the vin number of the car and when I told him to look at a c32 that was going to be serviced he refused and kept asking me for my vin number which would not do any good in this situation.., but I am going to try a couple other delaers if I am unable to find the part number online
My car is currently out of service it is having the radiator fan modulator issue and overheats very quickly, I am sure some of you can relate and know what I am talking about, prolly had the same recall in the past...

to each there own, if it was me i would stick with the original what came with the car, although its the same engine as the 32's but the benz name not only symbolizes the engine but the car is self, the crossfire is a nice car but it not a benz. its just made better with benz parts. but if u did get the benz cover i would not found upon you, however if u de-badge your car and put on AMG badges on the outside of the car that would be a little cheesy, and i would laugh my *** off at that.
but non the less the engine is a C32 engine just a little under powered according to the web it is
"V-6 makes 330 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque,"
"Shorn of its decorative plastic sombrero, this Mercedes engine would look more familiar. It rolls out of the AMG handicraft shop in Affalterbach, Germany, and previously found work in the SLK32 AMG and C32 AMG. Both of those models have since gone to V-8s, and Mercedes has developed a new 268-hp, twin-cam, four-valve naturally aspirated V-6 for its 2005 SLK350 (C/D, June 2004). So the Crossfire SRT-6 is the last customer of a very nice hand-me-down."
