Should not be based on miles. Every two years flush out old brake fluid, to minimize moisture in the brake fluid.

This is relatively cheap I would think and I would do it just because it's cheap. BUt the norm to change the fluid is like 30k-40k miles. I would think it depends on where you live to as the fluid likes to absorb water and water in your system equals failure.

yeah it's usually recomended to do it every 2 years. See if you can give them some motul 500 if you do it it's cheap very hydroscopic and good stuff as compared to SRF.

Two years is a maximum for brake fluid replacement. I change mine four times a year! It all depends on how how you get your fluid. For normal street driving where you never get the brakes hot for extended periods of time, one to two years is the recommended interval. For excessive brake applications, like canyon runs and track events, I would recommend at least twice a year. Every time you get brake fade, you introduce air into the system through moisture. You can change the fluid yourself and save some money in fluid cost as well by bleeding out the fluid until the bubbles are gone and toping off the resevior. Some track event participants flush new fluid into the system after each event without changing out the entire quantity of fluid. RBF600 works great for high temp outing and is reasonable in price. However, the stock fluid is pretty good and should be fine for 99% of all drivers. I run titanium backing plates between my pads and the caliper pistons to keep excessive heat out of the caliper which transfers heat to the fluid.
