Had it performed on mine (by default) when the car was at the dealer for unrelated work. I've not observed any negative effects.

Mine still does not have it and I don't want it. I plan to demand in writing that the dealer not perform any unauthorized (by me) work if/when the car ever needs dealer maintenance again.
