C32 extended warranty - need advice please
My C32's factory warranty expires in little over a month and I'm debating whether I should get an extended warranty for it. I don't have a quote from the dealer yet - I'm taking the car for the service B soon and that's when they also promised to look at it and give me the price. If it's 2-3K, it's no brainer - I'll get it. But I found some info on mbusa.com that it can run about 6K for a 3-year/100000 miles since this is an AMG. That, of course, is a lot of money so I'm wondering how reliable the car actually is and what my average annual repair bill may look like. I had some problems with the supercharger and I believe they already replaced the pump. What are the other typical problems and how much may it cost to fix those?
Thank you in advance for advices! I really need your help to figure it out...

how many miles are on your car? In terms of reliability..I really think it depends on how you drive your car and what conditions you drive it in. If you search the forum, you will find lists of common problems. Personally, I would [I]never[I] own a mercedes without warranty. I just went to get one control arm bushing fixed...and they ended up finding 5 things wrong with my car. Alhough they were "minor" things, w/o warranty my bill would have been over 1k.

I was just at the dealership asking about MB extended warranty. It'll cost me $2900 (Cdn) for another 3 years. No brainer for me. I think it'll help alot in the resale area if I decide to sell in the next year or 2.

cheungster86, I have 35K miles now and I typically put 18-20K a year. I'm planning to keep the car for about 3 more years.
Magician, while the quote from that company is really low, I've heard a lot of bad things regarding the companies that provide extended warranties. I tried to get a quote from WarrantyDirect as it's probably the biggest one, but they don't provide warranties for AMG at all.
One other question - will the quotes from different dealers be the same or should I ask around?

One thing to note for owners in the UK is that MBUK offer a product called a Service Plus Contract, that essentially offers the benefits of an MB Tier 1Warranty, and full servicing and wear/tear replacements (excluding tyres).
Cost is sometimes cheaper than the cost of the warranty on it's own!!
