Throttle Reset

1. Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.
2. Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.
3. Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.
4. Wait at least two minutes for ECU to reset.

Although this does reset the throttle and, to some extent, the basic tranny adaptions, it does not do what the tech does to reset the TCU, as far as I know. I do this about once a week and it will make the car much more fun to drive every time, until the computer re-learns the driver's quirks.

By the way, it seems that the 2 minute wait at the end is un-needed.

Trans reset - question

Where performing this reset is there any indicator or light or 'success' / 'beep' that happens? Or than the car should feel a little different when driving it immediately after this is done? How do we know it 'worked' - that its now 'reset'.
Reason I ask is I've done this a few times in the past and never really noticed any big difference or really any difference at all. Possibly doing it wrong.. hope not as its pretty simple.
Thanks

I've done twice and I noticed that when it's successful the drive program changes from Sport "S" to comfort "C" on the dashboard.
